I just wanted to share our success story, which resulted in the birth of our Soulmates baby, Tilly, in May 2008. I very nearly didn't show up for my date with Dave in December 2005. It wasn't that I'd had any really bad dates, but I'd met a fair few people without success and was wondering if I was ultimately destined for spinsterhood? With me feeling hung-over and green around the gills from a party the night before, we for a walk on a chilly Sunday afternoon and had a drink in a pub with no light-bulbs. We talked. I thought, I like this man. He sent me a text on his way home: You Rock. I was smitten. By April we were living together, and in September Dave proposed to me on holiday in Skiathos. We married in June 2007 and are now a perfect little family with our new baby (and the cats, Duncan and Lady Macbeth).

I've always enjoyed the surprised reactions we get when we share how we met, but it worked for us and thanks to Soulmates I am now married to my best friend. Who'd have thunk it?!
