In September last year I began corresponding with a man in the States. Within 3 weeks we were chatting on the phone every day and had arranged for me to visit him in California, a distance of around 7,000 miles from Cyprus. This visit went extremely well and a second, longer visit was arranged. I came back to California at the beginning of November, we spent 4 weeks driving from San Francisco to Dallas in Texas and then down to Austin. Despite a few minor problems which we've managed to overcome, we've had - and are still enjoying a great time, - so much so that I'm returning to Cyprus in 2 weeks' time to close up my house and business and move permanently to America. We plan to get married in the summer!
So, our advice to anyone? Never let distance be an obstacle. If you feel it's right, - go for it!!
