Thank you for your reminder that I haven't visited the site for a while; I thought I'd tell you why.
I wanted to meet someone near me in Bath, although I was prepared to look as far afield as Bristol or even London (we keep an open mind in the liberal Southwest!).
Then I got an email from the USA..
I've had a weird fixation for a couple of years now that my life would change before I was 50 and on the night before my 50th birthday along came this raffish email. Your site said he was only a 6% match, but despite that I flew out to the US for the third time a few weeks ago for a Christmas wedding in an Oregon truckstop, courtesy of an ad in the phonebook for The Mobile Ministry.
So I won't be renewing my subscription since I intend to make a full-time job of being Mrs 6%, just as soon as I can persuade Homeland Security that I'm not out to destabilise the home of the free, and yes, it's all thanks to Guardian Soulmates.
Not sure if this is a ringing endorsement or a horrible warning but either way, we're grateful.
